Policies
Community Values
Who is Welcome Here?
Members of marginalised communitiesFolks who identify as women, femme, queer, transgender, POC/BAME, immigrants, neurodivergent, chronically ill and disabled are particularly welcome.Folks based across Europe and outside of the U.S.We recognise that many TTRPG companies, products and communities center the U.S. culture and experience. EUphoria wants to represent different communities and enable them to access each other through our communal love of TTRPGs. Our community members also want to connect with others within similar time zones.TTRPG fans of all levels and experiencesCurious, beginners, intermediates, experts and ancient ones have a place here. Instead of gatekeeping, we take time to teach, invite questions and offer help. We communicate with patience, and create opportunities for everyone to participate. But what about…
All are welcome, however, recognise that privilege exists and it’s your responsibility to understand when certain voices aren’t needed or welcome. Allies are not allies if they require acknowledgement or validation.
What we stand for:
Black Lives Matter
All LGBTQIA+ identities are valid, no one must publicly perform or conform to someone else’s standard of a sexual or gender identity.
We are sex-worker positive, fat-positive and trans-positive.
Ideology that dehumanizes, forces or assigns subservience, removes autonomy and wishes violence onto others, is not allowed in any capacity.
Marginalised people should not bear the emotional labour of educating about intersectional privilege.
Welcome Behaviour:
Assume good intent and respect boundaries. Look for enthusiastic consent rather than prying or causing discomfort. In the instance of a transgression, apologise and change your behaviour.Add your pronouns in Discord (if safe to do so) and when in doubt, ask for someone’s pronouns. Recognise that pronouns can change and everyone’s gender identity or expression is valid. We’re a collective of different countries and time zones. English is a second or third language for some of us. Be gracious and patient with language challenges and differences. Add time zone notations (”3pm GMT” instead of “3pm”) instead of assuming everyone else lives in your respective time zone.Give credit when posting art and content where possible. Support creators and prioritise sharing original sources.Be mindful of the content you post. Avoid overly flashy graphics and use alt-text. Mark spoilers and provide content warnings where applicable.Rather than assume your understanding is common to everyone, say the quiet part out loud. Especially when understanding that different communication styles exist and nuance can be hard to grasp in typed settings.Make room for others and be welcoming to those who join ongoing conversations. Prioritise inclusion rather than pace of a conversation.Recognize that some topics like politics and religion may be triggering to others, even as our identities and basic human rights are unfairly politicised. Others may not be in a comfortable or safe space to share their opinions. Be sensitive, do not center yourself and do not bully others to your standard.Keep topics germane to respective channels and threads. Keep advertisements in relevant channels without abusing (spamming or reposting the same information frequently)
Unwelcome Behavior:
Derogatory speech, even said in jest, about things including but not limited to, race, religion, culture, disability, body type, career, sex, sexual orientation or gender identity are not acceptable. No FART (Feminism-Appropriating Reactionary Transphobe) or INCEL (Involuntarily Celibate) ideology. No “flirting” without express consent, simulated physical contact (”hug” or “backrub” after being asked to stop) or demanding attention, such as spamming friend requests or excessive tagging. No doxing or sharing of private information (personal addresses, phone numbers, photos that are not publicly available).Harmful language that intends harm or reduces people to hurtful tropes. This includes ableist terms like, “dumb, stupid, insane, crazy, mental”Pornographic, explicit and disgusting material or depictions of gore and violence are not allowed. No NSFW images or videos. No spam or self-promotion outside of specific channels. Do not DM fellow server members with unsolicited commercial requests (like commissions, etc.)No piracy of copyrighted materials, including sharing links to piracy websites. Only share legal and public sources for digital material. Any shared legal content is for personal use only (such as player sheets and rule sets in order to play organised games) and does not confer 'ownership' based on most licenses.Do not post content made by Generative AI, such images, video, audio and text. No promotion of NFTs or cryptocurrencies in any capacity.
Discord Moderation Policy
Participation is a privilege and not a right. Breaking the rules and/or the spirit of the rules may result in mutes, temporary bans or permanent bans. Server admins have the final say.Moderation actions will focus on “impact over intent”, meaning we will consider the impact of the infringement rather than personal intentions.Server moderators and administrators have the discretion to enact warnings and requests to remove offending material. If the content or behavior is deemed to be malicious and harmful to our community and its members, we reserve the right to remove that person immediately. This is regardless of whether individuals already have previous instances of inappropriate behavior.
Failure to Adhere To These Values
EUphoria reserves the right to remove, ban, block, kick, and cease association in all forms, without warning, with any individual found to be egregiously contravening these values.

Media Production Standards
Inclusivity
Cast from Europe and outside the U.S.EUphoria is a community to specifically uplift TTRPG creatives from Europe and those outside the U.S. While U.S.-based creatives aren’t banned, their prioritization should be rare and exceptional.Marginalized genders, PoC/BAME and underrepresented communitiesCasts must not be majority or all cis-male.Half the cast identifying as PoC/BAME is the goal. At minimum there should be more than one PoC/BAME cast member in order to not tokenize.EUphoria accepts and celebrates that our chosen and curated community is majority queer and neurodivergent.Visible pronounsAccurate pronouns should be visible on media such as overlays and promotional content where possible. Pronouns are purely self-reported and respected.Should an individual feel unsafe or unready to display their pronouns, then no pronouns will be displayed for any respective cast member of a specific production. This is so as to not ‘out’ which individual is uncomfortable.LeadershipFolks from marginalized communities, particularly PoC/BAME, should be prioritised not just for casting, but for leadership roles that include GM, Panel Moderator and EUphoria Crew Members.
Visual Standards
Preferred softwareEUphoria will prioritise the use of VDO.Ninja and thus cast members who can reliably run this program.
VDO.Ninja is an open-source browser program for capturing video & audio. As a P2P program, it requires a stable internet connection and a stronger machine. Potential cast members on spotty wifi or older laptops may have trouble running VDO.Ninja.
While programs like Zoom or Discord and captioning programs like Pixel are alternatives, we recognize that they can cause extra stress, lower quality output and incur undue financial burdens on producers and/or EUphoria.Use of webcamsUse of webcams is important so that the cast and the audience have a point of visual engagement. Video feed should be reasonably clear, without unnecessary and distracting filters and free of lag or artifacts.
Cast members may bring high quality virtual models. We prefer models that visually show engagement (such as changes in facial expressions) over models with limited movement exclusively when audio is being broadcast. Technical support is exclusively the responsibility of those who want to use them.Use of microphonesAudio quality is more important than video. If a camera feed drops, the game/show can reasonably continue with just audio until the issue is resolved. The opposite is rarely true.
Audio should not include echoing, loud volume (consistently in the red on volume meters), static or delays. Unnecessary filters or effects should be avoided.Overlay representationOverlays should not have overly animated effects that may induce discomfort or seizures. Animated effects should include smooth transitions or loops to minimize distraction. Colors should be chosen to avoid common palettes known to be difficult for folks with color-blindness.AccessibilityAll of our video content will include dedicated subtitles or captions. Quality may vary depending on whether content was live-streamed or recorded with the opportunity for post-editing.
Participants will be regularly reminded and encouraged to give concise visual descriptions of themselves where possible.
Safety
Mandatory Session Zeros for Actual PlaysAll actual plays that involve role-playing or creative processes (such as games like Microscope) with multiple participants must have concluded a Session Zero with a neutral/3rd party facilitator going over Lines & Veils.- Session Zero: A scheduled meetup, such as a video call, that takes place well before the actual play session. Completing Safety Tools, game mechanic explanations, expectation discussions and production technical checks may all be part of a Session Zero.
- Neutral/3rd Party Facilitator: An individual who is neither a GM nor a player at the actual play table. Someone who will prioritize the cast’s safety and comfort and will deliver feedback in a safe manner.
- Lines & Veils: EUphoria’s preferred Safety Tool, originally discussed by Ron Edwards in 2004 and popularised by Monte Cook Games. The cast fills out a single form where they can anonymously share whether certain topics and themes are considered “Lines” (content that will never be mentioned during the time of play) or “Veils” (content that might come up in play). This form and this discussion is not publicly shared or streamed.Participants who do not attend a scheduled Session Zero with all other cast members may not join the actual game.Producers will encourage and facilitate any other Safety Tool of choice for the table, such as X Card, Script Change, Open Door Policy and post-session tools like Stars & Wishes, etc.
Processes and Expectations
As a player on EUphoria, you will be expected to:
Communicate clearly and openly!
Do your part in maintaining table safety before, during, and after session 0. Safety is an ongoing process.
Have honest conversations with the GM and other players about things that are going well, and when things aren't.
Participate in table discussions and respond to requests in a timely manner.
Be respectful of all people at the table and in the audience. This includes being in a reasonable state to perform.
-Do not turn up to a stream inebriated or past the point of good decision making.
Reach out to leadership when extra support is needed.
Inform leadership, your GM and your cast if circumstances require you to miss a session or any part of a session. Doing this with as much notice as possible gives us the best shot at adapting!
- We know that real life happens, and your mental health and safety are paramount. You’re more important than your role (and rolls!) at the table.
EUphoria organisers will be expected to:
Program diverse, compelling content that platforms our values, identities, and aspirations. Games written, developed, and/or published by those within geographic Europe will be prioritised.
Cast diverse tables representing strong intersections of marginalised identities from across Europe and the UK. This includes ensuring our tables and community is a home for those who are BAME/POC, women, femme, gender non-conforming, queer, trans, disabled and chronically ill.
Focus on creating safe environments, in our community, in game channels, and at game tables. Session 0s are mandatory for all tables and will always be facilitated by a third-party not directly involved with the game - GMs are players too! Our safety tools include, but are not limited to, lines & veils, X card, open door policy.
Create and distribute promotional materials for social media, including images and short videos.
Fulfil all production needs, for both pre-recorded and livestreamed events. This includes tech setup, creating high-quality overlays, trouble-shooting, extensive support and guidance, getting streams live on time, captioning, post-editing and distribution.
Monitor and moderate chat and comments attached to our content. Always erring on the side of caution, trolls and bigots get banned, no second chances. Employing shield mode or going offline if necessary.
Where possible and practical, arrange sponsorships & giveaways to support and promote streams, games, and performers.
Our process looks like this:
Casting form. Give us your details! Two stage casting. If you’re selected for the table, you get to confirm your interest, and then you get to see the names of other potential castmates for you to vet and ensure your comfort moving forward.Responses for all applicants. Once the table is confirmed, all applicants will receive a response - you’ve taken time to get in touch with us, and you deserve to know the outcome!Join Discord. The cast join our server and their dedicated channel to say hello, get to know each other and start getting excited for their game!Information gathering and session 0 prep. Leadership will make a post requesting the necessary information for promos and overlays - names, pronouns, social media handles, headshots etc, and collect it in one place. We’ll also share an anonymous lines & veils form to gather information about the table’s boundaries ready to discuss at session 0.Session 0. A member of leadership will join you to start with a safety portion and to answer any questions about the rest of the process. We’ll also conduct some quick tech checks on VDO to ensure your connections are good, This will take around 45 minutes. Then your GM will take over with a rules/system overview, worldbuilding, character creation and anything else required for the game.Record your story or go live on stream! Do the thing! Thanks! Feedback and any safety concerns. Once your story has been told, we’ll check in with everyone to ensure things went well. We love to hear feedback at this stage, as we’re always looking to improve. And of course, you’re able to continue hanging out in our Discord, find more games to play in, or even pitch a show of your own to run!

The western English county of Gloucestershire is a place little changed since the Middle Ages, where the prehistoric stonework and burial mounds dotting the landscape give rise to myth and legend. "Old Meg" is one such stone which stood, stoic and quiet, but may now be at the center of an unseasonal cold and attacked animals. These investigators have been called by the Church for help.
